A New Year

I took a longer than usual holiday for X-mas and New Years and headed to eastern Canada for a couple of weeks.  The weather has been rough all across the country this holiday season, and I forgot how cold a minus 30 degree windchill feels.  Toronto was fun, a different perspective for sure.

The best part of the trip was connecting with friends and family, I didn’t get photos of everyone, but here are a few,  Zeb chilling in his office at Nomad, Zebby and Jesar have done an amazing job with the shop, leading the way in TO.

And Nadir at La Carrera brews up the best espresso in town, even though it’s also the best bike shop in town…behind the counter:

Also a big shout to Sipreano, the man behind so many great Sandinista mixtapes, hope to see you soon at home in Vancouver.

New Years was spent deep in the countryside in Lanark County, Ontario.  Many many thanks to Marcin, Anissa, and Maya for hosting us.

The neighbor’s best friend, Nuta…now I know why everyone goes googoo over huskies:

A celebration in the country would not be complete without the obligatory cutting down of the dead spruce tree and building a six foot high bonfire for NYE.
